KING CLAMPS FITTINGS

King Clamps Fittings are manufactured on synchronised casting production lines. Material quality is blackheart malleable iron which complies with BS 1562 1997 standard for strength requirements. King Clamps Fittings are hot dip galvanised according to BS EN 1461 1999. Process control tests are applied during each production step of King Clamps fittings fittings to obtain high level of customer satisfaction.

Grubscrews are used for assembly purposes and are supplied with King Clamps Fittings. The tool required to tighten the grubscrew in most applications is a simple allen key. To achieve the capacity to withstand an applied slip load of 900 kg the grub screw should be tightened to a torque of 4.0kg/m. This torque value can only be achieved using when grub screw is fully tightened using a ratchet wrench set to the required torque..

How to choose the right King Clamps Fitting
The customer can use the descriptions in this dialog to choose the type of the fitting to suit the task at hand, then combine the reference number and the selected nominal bore size of the tube.
e.g. A short inline tee with a nominal bore of 32 mm:101-032

Although the customer has the ultimate responsibility in selecting the correct fitting and size, this text is designed to assist in these decisions. The customer should be careful to take into account the weight of the fittings and tubes as well as the applied load including some superimposed loads such as wind and snow loads.

Health and Safety Control of Substance
Hazardous to Health Regulations 1988
The manufacturer have continued to investigate the King Clamps Fittings and associated tubing. Non are considered to be hazardous within the meaning of the regulations provided that the tube is cut using pipecutters or saws and the King Clamps Fittings are tightened with the proprietary allen or ratchet key.

Any welding will have COSHH implications, especially if any surface is pre finished, i.e. galvanised, painted, powder coated etc.. The manufacturer strongly recommends King Clamps Fittings are not welded or joined by any other method. The grub screw is the only necessary and recommended means of fixing.

Tube Sizes
King Clamps Fittings are used with three sizes of tubes compatible with BS 1387 Steel Tube Standard (heavy and medium type) which have 25, 32 and 40 Nominal Bores in mm.
